Originally from Glasgow, I moved to Edinburgh in 2014 to complete my LLB at the University of Edinburgh, graduating in 2018. I then moved home for a year and completed my Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde before returning to Edinburgh to join Balfour+Manson as a trainee solicitor in August 2019.
During my time at university I gained some invaluable experience working with a variety of law firms in different practice areas, giving me a lot of hands-on practical experience preparing me for life as a trainee. I was also captain of the Edinburgh University Law Hockey Team which I achieved an Edinburgh Award for.
Outside of work I enjoy going to the gym, watching rugby, socialising with friends and exploring new places.
I am currently in my first seat, working in the Private Client department. I am working for Partner, Karen Phillips. In my role as a trainee solicitor, I assist Karen and the rest of the department with a variety of work including drafting wills and powers of attorney, winding up estates, and applying for guardianships.
